The world’s largest concrete pour

The new Wilshire Grand Center, a hotel and office complex in Los Angeles (USA), set the record for the world’s largest continuous cement pour with a total of 16,208.6 m³ of cement being poured into its foundation for a straight 18 hours last year. 208 trucks delivering concrete from different production units seamlessly orchestrated this massive effort with a truck arriving on the dot every 5 minutes! This stupendous record however was very recently broken by the Lakhta Centre Multifunctional Complex in Saint Petersburg (Russia) that toted up a continuous concrete pour of 19,624.0 m³.
