Ensure that the cement bags received at the construction site are stored in a dry location and are completely covered with plastic sheeting, including the bottom. Check the cement bags for manufacturing batch information and best before dates, and use them accordingly.
Exposed surfaces made of concrete or mortar dry in an hour or two after application.
Before using red-clay bricks to build walls, make sure that they have been soaked in water for at least 3-4 hours.
